Terms for using Screen Translate

Last updated: June 19, 2026. These terms apply to the Screen Translate website, Chrome extension, and related backend service.

Service

Screen Translate provides a Chrome extension and related backend service for selected-area screenshot OCR and machine translation.

Accounts and subscriptions

You may need an account to use free translations or paid subscriptions. Free translations and subscription access are non-transferable usage allowances for Screen Translate and are not cash, stored value, or a general-purpose wallet.

Acceptable use

You must not use the service for illegal activity, privacy violations, unauthorized surveillance, attempts to bypass access controls, automated abuse, resale, or activity that disrupts the service.

User content

You are responsible for the content you select and submit for translation. You should only process content when you have the right or permission to do so.

Accuracy

OCR and machine translation may be inaccurate. Do not rely on Screen Translate as the sole basis for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or other high-risk decisions.

Payments

Paid subscriptions are $5 per month or $50 per year unless a different price is shown at checkout. A third-party payment provider may process payment, taxes, invoices, renewals, cancellations, and disputes. The checkout page will show price, currency, taxes, and payment terms before purchase.

Cancellation

You can cancel a subscription according to the checkout or account management flow provided by Screen Translate or the payment provider. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund past charges unless the Refund Policy or applicable law requires it.

Changes and availability

We may change features, prices, limits, models, or availability. We aim to provide a reliable service, but interruptions and model provider errors can occur.
