Terms of Service
Last updated: September 6, 2026. Screen Translate is operated by Yuankun Wang, an individual/sole trader operating under the laws of China. These Terms apply to the website, Chrome extension, and related backend service available at https://www.screentranslateapp.com.
Welcome to Screen Translate ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have read these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
Screen Translate provides a Chrome extension and related backend service for selected-area screenshot OCR and machine translation. The Service is a digital, intangible product delivered over the internet. Access to a paid subscription is granted immediately after a confirmed payment.
You may need an account to use free translations or paid subscriptions. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Free translations and subscription access are non-transferable usage allowances for Screen Translate and are not cash, stored value, or a general-purpose wallet.
You must not use the Service for illegal activity, privacy violations, unauthorized surveillance, attempts to bypass access controls, automated abuse, resale, or activity that disrupts the Service.
You are responsible for the content you select and submit for translation. You should only process content when you have the right or permission to do so. OCR and translation are provided through third-party AI model providers, which may include Moonshot AI (Kimi), Zhipu AI (GLM), or Alibaba Cloud DashScope (Qwen). Google may process account sign-in information. Service performance and availability may depend on those providers. We do not use your selected content to train AI models without your explicit consent.
Paid subscriptions are $2 per month, $5 per quarter, or $19 per year unless a different price is shown at checkout. By providing a payment method and subscribing, you authorize us to charge that method on a recurring basis for the selected plan until you cancel. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Payment, taxes, invoices, renewals, and disputes are processed by our merchant of record, Waffo Pancake.
You can cancel at any time through your account settings or by emailing support from your registered email. Cancellation stops future renewals, and your access continues until the end of the current billing period. Cancellation does not automatically refund past charges unless the Refund Policy or applicable law requires it. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, suspected fraud, or as required by law.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. First-time subscribers may receive a full refund within 14 days of the first charge if the subscription has not been materially used. Duplicate charges and verified service outages are handled as described in that policy.
OCR and machine translation may be inaccurate. Do not rely on Screen Translate as the sole basis for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or other high-risk decisions. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
We may change features, prices, limits, models, or availability. We aim to provide a reliable service, but interruptions and model provider errors can occur.
These Terms are governed by the laws of China. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us to try to resolve the issue informally.
